31558 Sales Order Entry, Detail Entry Overview

 

PURPOSE

 

The main functions of order detail entry are as follows:

  • Add order detail lines.
  • Delete order detail lines.
  • Display order detail lines.
  • Modify order detail lines.
  • Perform other order related options.

The above options (and others not listed) are explained in 31660 - SALES ORDER ENTRY, DETAIL ENTRY OPTIONS. The order detail entry screen is accessed as follows.

  1. When adding an order, the program automatically advances to the detail entry screen once all required header entry fields are complete.
  2. When modifying an existing order, press [F1] at the SELECT MAIN OPTION prompt.
  3. After modifying order header fields, press [F1] at the OK SO FAR prompt.

The order detail entry screen can be accessed as often as required as long as the order remains current.
