The package calculation program calculates the package factor using the formula FACTOR = TOTAL OF COMPONENT PRICES divided by PACKAGE PRICE. Based on the package's factor, the calculation sets the component prices using the formula COMPONENT PRICE = COMPONENT USUAL PRICE times FACTOR.
The discounted prices of the package components are used to determine the sales of the components. Also, when components are added, deleted or replaced during sale order entry they affect the price of the package product based on the factor.
IdealWare uses this flag to allow for the integration of Innovis "DesignCenter" packages during sale order entry.
