Enter general option code to access or create.
If you enter a code that does not exist the program prompts you to add a new code, see PROCEDURE - ADD A NEW OPTION. If you enter an existing option code the program prompts you to modify or delete the option, see PROCEDURE - MODIFY/DELETE AN OPTION.
[F2] to scan through package general options for selection.
[F4] to exit to menu.
[F9] to toggle to detail options maintenance.

PROCEDURE - ADD AN OPTION CODE
If you enter a general option code that is not defined, you will be prompted to add a new code.
[Enter] to add new option code.
The program steps you through each field (see FIELDS - OPTION CODE). Once all the fields have been completed, the following prompt displays.
[Enter] to update new option.
The display is cleared and the cursor returns to the GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
[F1] to update new option and modify option details.
The detail options screen displays. See PROCEDURE - DETAIL OPTIONS.
[F2] to modify option description.
[F4] to not add new option code.
You are returned to GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
[F2] to not add new option code.
You are returned to the GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
PROCEDURE - MODIFY/DELETE AN OPTION CODE
If you enter an existing general option code you the program prompts you to modify, delete or update the option code.
"U""P""D""A""T""E" to update current packages.
This selection forces IdealWare to read through all package type products on file, select the ones that are using the displayed option and update each package to reflect any changes to the option that have not yet been implemented.
[Enter] to clear display and return to GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
"M" to modify option description.
The program steps you through each field (see FIELDS - OPTION CODE). Once all fields have been completed, the following prompt displays.
[Enter] to update option.
[F1] to update option and modify option details.
The detail options screen displays. See PROCEDURE - DETAIL OPTIONS.
[F2] to modify description.
[F4] to cancel changes and return to GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
"D" to delete option code.
"Y" to delete option code.
"N" to not delete option code.

Enter description of up to 30 characters.
Displays date last changes made to option code.
If you are entering a new code this field remains empty.

When you press [F9] at the general options maintenance display the display toggles to the detail options display.

PROCEDURE - ADD A DETAIL OPTION
If you enter a detail option number that is not on file the program prompts you to add a new detail option.
[Enter] to add new detail option.
The program steps you through each field (see FIELDS - DETAIL OPTIONS). Once all fields have been entered, the following prompt displays.
[Enter] to add new detail option.
[F2] to modify data fields.
See PROCEDURE - MODIFY/DELETE A DETAIL OPTION.
[F4] to not add new detail option.
You are returned to the GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
[F2] to not add new detail option.
You can enter a new detail option, an existing detail or press [F4] to exit the program.
PROCEDURE - MODIFY/DELETE A DETAIL OPTION
If you enter an existing detail option the program prompts you to modify or delete the option.
[Enter] to clear display and return to DETAIL OPTIONS NUMBER field.
"M" to modify data fields.
"1" to modify product code.
"2" to modify quantity units.
[Enter] for modifications completed.
[Enter] to update detail changes.
[F2] to modify data fields.
You are returned to the FIELD NUMBER TO MODIFY prompt.
[F4] to cancel all changes.
You are returned to GENERAL OPTION CODE field.
"D" to delete option detail.
"Y" to delete detail option.
"N" to not delete detail option.

FIELDS - DETAIL OPTIONS
Enter product code to associate with detail option.
[F5] to access product inquiry for selection.
Enter quantity unit for product.
For products with multiple quantity units, the program displays the units of measure at the bottom of the screen for selection.
