31670 Sales Order Entry, Detail Entry Description Lines

 

PURPOSE

 

Description lines are used to enter lines of text anywhere within the body of the order. Each description line can contain up to 6 lines of text, each with up to 30 characters.

FIELDS

 

LINE

 

Displays the line number associated with the detail line. See 31661 - SALES ORDER ENTRY, DETAIL ENTRY LINE INITIALIZATION.

 

TP (LINE TYPE)

 

When adding a new detail line, the line type defaults to "P" and the cursor advances to the PRODUCT CODE field. To change the line type press [F3] at the PRODUCT CODE field to return to the TP (LINE TYPE) field.

 

Enter line type "D".

 

The cursor positions within the DESCRIPTION field.

 

 

Special Editing Keys:

 

[HOME] to move cursor to the left margin of the current line.

 

[END] to move cursor to the right margin of the current line.

 

[INSERT] to toggle between INSERT and TYPEOVER modes.

 

[DELETE] to delete the character at cursor.

 

[BACKSPACE] to delete the character to the left of cursor.

 

[←] [→] [↑] [↓] to move cursor as indicated by selected arrow key.

 

[F2] to delete the current line.

 

[F6] to reformat text by removing extra spaces and hard returns.

 

[F4] to end text entry.

 

[F3] to display return prompt.

 

THIS IS THE TOP LINE. PRESS F3 TO BACK UP OR ENTER TO CONTINUE:

 

[F3] to backup to the TP (LINE TYPE) field.

 

[Enter] to continue descriptive text entry.

 

SHIP/PRINT OPTIONS and LINE UPDATE

 

[Enter] to update the line.
