IY4-12 I/Y MAINTENANCE
31020 Product Pricing

PURPOSE

The product pricing maintenance program enables you to add, modify or delete product pricing information.

If your system is configured appropriately, you can also enter "future" prices which will automatically be moved to "current" pricing and become effective on the pricing effective date. If a product has both current and future prices, you can toggle between them in this program by using the [F9] key.

If your system is configured for current prices only, when you add prices you will temporarily be adding "future" prices which will be moved to current status as soon as they are updated.

The program also displays costs so that margins can be calculated and displayed. If they exist, the products supplier#1 costs are displayed. If they do not exist, the program will look for supplier#2 costs, then supplier #3 and #4. You can also enter test costs to aid in your pricing.

Additionally, the program includes enhanced margin and discount update features and the ability to flag individual products for automatic price generation. See PROCEDURE - AUTO PRICE GENERATION.

Product Pricing Maintenance is accessed from:

  • Inventory Product Maintenance menu.
  • Product and Inventory Maintenance program, Price Maintenance option.

PROCEDURE

When you select Product Pricing Maintenance the Product Pricing Maintenance screen displays.
