PROCEDURE - ADD A PRICE
If you enter a store/region and product code for which pricing information does not exist you are prompted to add prices.
"A" to add prices.
Select 01 EFFECTIVE DATE field (see FIELDS - DATA ENTRY) if your system is configured for current and future prices. Select 03 PRICING METHOD field (see FIELDS - DATA ENTRY) if your system is configured for current prices only. In QUICK ADD MODE, the program defaults to the appropriate field when adding a product. Once all relevant price addition fields have been entered, the following prompt displays.
[Enter] to update price information.
The cursor returns to the PRODUCT CODE field.
[F2] to modify existing pricing fields.
Enter field number to modify.
[Enter] to indicate modifications complete.
[F4] too not update price information.
The cursor returns to the PRODUCT CODE field.
[Enter] too not add prices.
The cursor returns to PRODUCT CODE field.
[F9] to display future/current prices.
If displaying current prices press [F9] to toggle to future prices and vice versa.
[F10] to display other supplier costs, if any.
Alert indicates that no other supplier costs for the product exist.
[Enter] to proceed to COSTS EFFECTIVE field.

PROCEDURE - MODIFY AN EXISTING PRICE
If you enter a store/region and product code for which pricing information exists, you are prompted to modify or delete prices.
[Enter] to not add/modify price.
The cursor returns to PRODUCT CODE field.
[F9] to display future/current prices.
If displaying current prices press [F9] to toggle to future prices and vice versa. If your system is configured for current prices only, then this option enables you to modify CURRENT prices.
[F10] to display other supplier costs, if any.
Alert indicates that no other supplier costs for the product exist.
[Enter] to proceed to COSTS EFFECTIVE field.

The price label printing program displays to enable you to print price labels for the displayed product.
FIELDS - DATA ENTRY
Displays cost settings and allows entry of test costs. The program recognizes 3 options: actual supplier cost; entered cost; and no cost.
"T" to enter a test cost.
Enter cost of the item.

Enter costing unit when multiple units exist.
The test cost and new margins are displayed.
This option allows you to re-calculate the prices shown so that their margins are the same as the margins that existed with the previously shown cost.
"Y" to re-calculate prices.
The cursor proceeds to the 03 RETAIL PRICES field for further price modifications.
"N" to not re-calculate prices.
The cursor returns to the main OPTIONS prompt.
"A" allow selection of actual supplier costs.
The cursor proceeds to the COSTING REGION field.
"N" to indicate no cost.
The cursor returns to the main OPTIONS prompt.
[F3] to return to main OPTIONS prompt.
Displays the store/region of the displayed supplier cost.
Enter store/region of supplier cost to access.
[F3] to return to previous field.
Displays the supplier code and supplier preference number (in brackets) of the displayed supplier cost. The following prompt displays.
Enter supplier code to access.
[F3] to return to previous field.
[F5] to access supplier code inquiry for selection.
[F10] to access supplier costs inquiry by product, store and supplier.

Displays the effective date and current or future status (in brackets) of the displayed supplier cost. The following prompt displays.
"C" to select CURRENT supplier cost.
The cursor proceeds to the main OPTIONS or the NOT ON FILE prompt.
"F" to select FUTURE supplier cost.
Indicates that the CURRENT or FUTURE costs desired do not exist.
[Enter] to return to previous prompt.
The cursor proceeds to the OPTIONS or NOT ON FILE prompt.
[F10] to access supplier costs inquiry by product, store and supplier.
[F12] to access inventory maintenance options menu.

This is the date new prices take effect. If your system is not configured for future pricing, the date defaults to the current system date.
Enter effective date of prices in MMDDYY format.

The cursor returns to the NOT ON FILE prompt.
"E" to enter all prices manually.
The cursor proceeds to the 03 RETAIL PRICES field for price entry.
"S" to calculate initial non-retail prices from retail manually.
Select this option to calculate non-RETAIL prices (LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3) automatically based on the RETAIL PRICE and the PRICE DISC CODE discount percentages. This option allows you to subsequently modify the LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3 prices manually. The cursor proceeds to the PRICE DISC CODE field.
"D" to calculate initial non-retail prices from discount %.
Select this option to calculate non-RETAIL prices (LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3) automatically based on the RETAIL PRICE and the PRICE DISC CODE discount percentages. This option (unlike option "S") does not allow you to modify the LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3 prices manually. Instead you must modify the RETAIL price to change the non-RETAIL prices. The cursor proceeds to the PRICE DISC CODE field.
"G" to calculate initial non-retail prices from markup.
Select this option to calculate non-RETAIL prices (LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3) automatically based on the markup/discount code entered for the product. See PROCEDURE - AUTO PRICE GENERATION. The cursor proceeds to the PRICE DISC CODE field.
Enter price discount code.
The discount will be used to calculate LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3 prices from RETAIL. If you are modifying prices, then after entering the price discount code the program will recalculate and display the LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3 prices automatically. The cursor proceeds to the 03 RETAIL PRICES field.
[F5] to access price discount code inquiry for selection.
When adding prices, the cursor will be initially placed in the 03 RETAIL PRICES, BASE UNIT field. You are restricted to entering the RETAIL, LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3 prices for the units BASE, ALT1 and ALT2 defined for the product. For example, if the product only has a BASE unit of measure, you are restricted to entering prices for the product under the BASE column. You can use the arrow keys to move around the pricing matrix. After modifying the prices as desired, press [F4] to exit. The prices are not updated until [F4] is pressed. From any of the price fields, the following prompt displays.
Enter price desired.
The cursor proceeds to the next price field.
[Enter] to accept or restore previous price in field.
The cursor proceeds to the next price field.
[↑], [↓], [→], [←] to accept or restore previous price in field.
Cursor moves to the price field as indicated by arrow key.
[F4] to exit price entry and proceed to the OK TO UPDATE prompt.
Automatic price maintenance options:
Enter the price desired followed by [F6] to modify the other pricing units of the same pricing level by the applicable conversion multiplier of each unit. Enter the price desired followed by [F1] to allow for the following automatic price maintenance features.
"P""C" to modify each pricing unit or column by same percentage.
Select this option to increase or decrease automatically all pricing units or column proportionally. The program calculates the proportion of the price changes based on the difference between the new price you enter versus the old price in the field you modify. The following prompts display for each applicable pricing unit, starting with the pricing unit for which the price was changed.
[Enter] to accept default value "Y".
"Y" to recalculate and display other prices for pricing unit.
The cursor proceeds to the next pricing unit.
"N" to not recalculate prices for pricing unit.
The cursor proceeds to the next pricing unit.
[F4] to indicate price changes complete.
"P""R" to modify all pricing levels or row by same percentage.
Select this option to increase or decrease automatically all pricing levels or row proportionally. The program calculates the proportion of the price changes based on the difference between the new price you enter versus the old price in the field you modify. The following prompts display for each applicable pricing level, starting with the level for which the price was changed.
[Enter] to accept default value "Y".
"Y" to recalculate and display other prices for pricing level.

"M""C" to set all pricing units or column to same margin.
Select this option to set automatically all pricing units or column to the same profit margin percentage. The program calculates the margin percentage based on the profit margin percentage of the new price you enter versus the cost for the pricing unit in the field you modify. The following prompts display for each applicable pricing unit, starting with the pricing unit for which the price was changed.
[Enter] to accept default value "Y".
"Y" to recalculate and display other prices for pricing unit.
The cursor proceeds to the next pricing unit.
"N" to not recalculate prices for pricing unit.
The cursor proceeds to the next pricing unit.
[F4] to indicate price changes complete.
"M""R" to set all pricing levels or row to same margin.
Select this option to set automatically all pricing levels or row to the same profit margin percentage. The program calculates the margin percentage based on the profit margin percentage of the new price you enter versus the cost for the pricing level in the field you modify. The following prompts display for each applicable pricing level, starting with the pricing level for which the price was changed.
This prompt is only applicable if the new price entered is a RETAIL price.
[Enter] to accept default value "Y".
"Y" to maintain discount percentages.
The following prompt displays.
[Enter] to accept default value "Y".
"Y" to adjust automatically other pricing units' RETAIL prices.
Select this option to set the same profit margin percentage for all other RETAIL units as calculated from the entered price. The program also automatically adjusts the LEVEL1, LEVEL2 and LEVEL3 prices for each pricing unit to the same discount percentages from retail as before the RETAIL price change.
"N" to not recalculate prices.
[F4] to indicate price changes complete.
"N" to not maintain discount percentages.
The cursor proceeds to the following prompts.

"Y" to recalculate and display other prices for pricing level.

FIELDS - DATA DISPLAY
Displays other stores/regions for which the product has defined prices.
Displays the supplier's product code if any.
Displays any other stores/regions for which the product has defined costs.
Displays any other suppliers for which the product has defined costs.
Displays whether the supplier has alternate future or current costs defined for this product.
Displays the effective date and current or future status (in brackets) of any other prices that exist for product.
Indicates the product's various units of measures displayed across the screen.
Indicates the product's BASE UNIT prices are displayed below. Directly underneath this heading is the product's supplier or test cost for this unit. To the right of this heading is the unit's conversion multiplier (of base units) in brackets. Underneath the unit's conversion multiplier is the unit's description.
Indicates the product's ALTERNATE-1 UNIT prices are displayed below. Directly underneath this heading is the product's supplier or test cost for this unit. To the right of this heading is the unit's conversion multiplier (of base units) in brackets. Underneath the unit's conversion multiplier is the unit's description.
Indicates the product's ALTERNATE-2 UNIT prices are displayed below. Directly underneath this heading is the product's supplier or test cost for this unit. To the right of this heading is the unit's conversion multiplier (of base units) in brackets. Underneath the unit's conversion multiplier is the unit's description.
Indicates the costs (either supplier costs or entered test costs) are displayed for each of the product's units across the screen.
Indicates the displayed prices are either CURRENT prices or FUTURE prices.
Indicates profit margin percentages for each of this unit's pricing levels.
Indicates the discount percentages from retail for each of this unit's pricing levels.

PROCEDURE - AUTO PRICE GENERATION
When you select PRICING METHOD "G" you access the program's "Auto Price Generation" feature. This feature enables you to set pricing for a single product or an entire product group based on the group's markup/discount code. The following prompts display.
This warning indicates that a markup/discount has not been defined for the product group to which this product belongs, press [Enter] to clear the warning and advance to the PRICE DISC field.
Enter discount code to affect current product only.
The cursor then advances to the BASE RETAIL price field.
[Enter] to accept displayed markup/discount code.
If the product group has a markup/discount code specified, it will be displayed in the PRICE DISC field by default. The cursor advances to the BASE RETAIL price field.
[F5] to display list of markup/discount codes for selection.
[F11] to access product group maintenance.
You can there enter a markup/discount code for this product's group. After selecting a markup/discount code for the product group, press [F3] to return to the PRICING METHOD field and reselect option "G".
[F12] to access price discount maintenance program.
Set up pricing as desired. When you have completed setting prices, press [F4] to exit the discount maintenance program and return to pricing maintenance.
[Enter] to accept prices as entered or calculated.
[F2] to modify prices or other fields.
Enter number of the field to modify.
[Enter] to accept changes.
[F4] to cancel all changes and reenter data.
[F4] to cancel all changes and reenter data.
[Enter] to generate automatically new prices for all products, INCLUDING range length products.
[F9] to generate automatically new prices for range length products only.
[F10] to generate automatically new prices for all products, EXCLUDING range length products.
"Y" to recalculate other unit prices, if any.
"N" to not recalculate other unit prices.
This prompt displays if you were showing CURRENT prices and no FUTURE prices exist for the product. See PROCEDURE - ADD A PRICE.
