PR5-16 Report Generator

 

PURPOSE

 

The report generator program enables you to produce customized reports detailing any combination of information you desire. You can enter any combination of employee codes and earnings, benefits and deduction codes.

 

Report Generator is accessed from:

  • Main Payroll menu.

 

PROCEDURE

 

Select Report Generator from the Main Payroll menu. The report generator definition screen displays.

EARNINGS BASED ON:
ENTER OPTION 1, 2 OR 3

 

"1" for current pay.

 

This will generate a report with earnings based on current pay.

 

 

"2" for MTD earnings.

  

This will generate a report with earnings based on the current month to date.

 

 

"3" for YTD earnings.

 

This will generate a report with earnings based on the current year to date.

 


SORT METHOD:

 

"1" to sort by employee code.

 

"2" to sort by employee surname.

 

"3" to sort by employee social insurance number.

 

REMAINING PRINT POSITIONS:   132

 

Displays the number of columns remaining in which to print additional information fields on the page after entering each code to include in the report.

 

CODE

 

Enter the code to include in the report.

 

You can enter payroll codes 001-150 or employee code 200-240. After making the selection the code DESCRIPTION is displayed and the cursor is positioned in the CONFIRMATION field.

 

 

[F5] to display list of codes for selection.

 

OK? (ENTER/N)

 

[Enter] to confirm the code selection.

 

The REMAINING PRINT POSITIONS indicator decrements by the number of columns required by the field of the code entered. You are returned to the CODE field where you may enter additional codes to include in the report or press [F4] to end the selection process.

 

 

"N" to clear the code selection.

 

You are returned to the CODE field to re-enter the code.

 

 

[F4] for code entry complete.

 

TITLE

 

Enter a report title.

 

You can enter up to 30 alpha/numeric characters.

 

 

The print selection menu is displayed.

"1" to change printers.

 

"2" to change the CPI and/or print density.

 

[Enter] to print.

 

[F4] to not print and exit to the menu.

 

[F5] to display a list of printers for selection.
