Enter the group code you wish to add, modify or delete.
To add a new code see ADD A CODE. To modify or delete an existing code see MODIFY AN EXISTING CODE.
[F2] to scan through existing codes.
[F4] to exit to menu.
[F5] to display list of group codes for selection.
ADD A CODE
If you enter a code which is not defined the following prompt displays.
[Enter] to add a new code.
The program will step you through each field (see FIELDS below). Once all fields have been entered, the following prompt is displayed:
[Enter] to accept and update.
[F2] to modify.
See MODIFY AN EXISTING CODE below.
[F4] to not add the code and return to CODE field.
[F2] to not add a new code.
You may enter a different NEW code, an existing code or press [F4] to exit.
MODIFY AN EXISTING CODE
When you enter a code which is already on file the system displays the data related to that code and prompts whether or not you wish to modify or delete the code.

Enter the line number of the field wish to modify.
[Enter] to clear the display and return to GROUP CODE field.
"D" to delete the code.
"Y" to delete the code.
"N" to not delete the code.
The cursor is positioned in the GROUP field.

FIELDS
Enter a descriptive name for the code.
You may enter up to 35 alpha/numeric characters.
This field defines how vacation pay will be paid.
"U" to withhold to union.
"E" to withhold for later release to employee.
"R" to release to employee each pay period.
"H" to withhold 1/2 each pay and release 1/2.
[F3] to return to the previous field.
The system recognizes the following vacation pay types.
'%' for a percentage of pay.
"H" for hours per year.
"N" for no vacation pay.
[F3] to return to the previous field.
"Y" for split overtime sometimes applies.
"N" for split overtime never applies.
[F3] to return to the previous field.
"Y" to show union dues on T4's.
"N" to not show union dues on T4's.
[F3] to return to the previous field.
[Enter] to update the new code and/or data fields.
You are taken to the vacation pay rates maintenance screen.
[F2] to make additional modifications.
[F4] to cancel all modifications and return to the menu.

FIELDS
Enter the ending year of the first range.
Enter "99" if there is only one range.
Enter the applicable percentage for the first range.
Enter the total number of hours.
If you selected HOURS PER YEAR rather than % as the VACATION PAY TYPE, you will be prompted here to enter the total hours rather than a percentage of pay. You may define as many ranges as you like. The last range must end at "99". When you have completed entering all desired ranges, the following prompt is displayed.
[Enter] to update the vacation pay schedule.
If you are adding a new union/group code you are taken to the earnings/deductions/benefits maintenance screen.
[F2] to modify the ranges and/or percentages.
