PROCEDURE - ADD/REMOVE A RANGE
Before modifying the tax table it's a good idea to print a screen dump - [ESC]"P" - so you will have an accurate list of the existing ranges and field values. You will need to know the original ranges and field values when you add or remove ranges, or if you need to restore the original settings. The range of the last line of the table must end with "999999".
To add a new range at the end of the existing ranges, modify the TAXABLE INCOME TO field of the existing last range to the amount you wish to start the new range. Modify the RATE R and CONSTANT K fields as desired. You will then be able to modify the next line and set it's TAXABLE INCOME TO field to "999999" and the RATE R and CONSTANT K fields to their original values.
To add a new range at the beginning or in the midst of the existing ranges, modify the TAXABLE INCOME TO field of the line which will be the new range to the amount you wish to end the new range. You must then modify each successive line to recreate the remainder of the original ranges again.
To remove a range modify the TAXABLE INCOME TO field of the range you wish to remove to match the amount displayed in the field immediately below it. When you have modified all succeeding lines you should have a duplicate last line whose range ends at "999999". To remove the duplicate last line, modify all of its values to "0".

PROCEDURE - ADD/REMOVE A RANGE
Before modifying the tax table it's a good idea to print a screen dump ([ESC]"P") so you will have an accurate list of the existing ranges and field values. You will need to know the original ranges and field values when you add or remove ranges, or if you need to restore the original settings. The range of the last line of the table must end with "999999".
To add a new range at the end of the existing ranges, modify the TO field of the existing last range to the amount you
wish to start the new range. Modify the -R- and -K- fields as desired. You will then be able to modify the next line and set it's TO field to "999999" and the -R- and -K- fields to their original values.
To add a new range at the beginning or in the midst of the existing ranges, modify the TO field of the line which will be the new range to the amount you wish to end the new range. You must then modify each successive line to recreate the remainder of the original ranges again.
To remove a range modify the TO field of the range you wish to remove to match the amount displayed in the field immediately below it. When you have modified all succeeding lines you should have a duplicate last line whose range ends at "999999". To remove the duplicate last line, modify all of its values to "0".
