TT5-09 Trust Statements

 

PURPOSE

 

The trust statements program prints trust statements for mailing to your clients. A trust statement is a personalized statement of transactions for each trust account for a client. Statements are typically printed as part of your month end routine, however, you may print them at a different time or not print them at all, depending on your company procedures.

 

Trust Statements are accessed from:

  • Trust Accounting menu.

 

PROCEDURE

 

Select Trust Statements from the Trust Accounting menu. The following prompts display.

 

** AS AT WHAT DATE ? (ENTER='MM/DD/YY'):

 

Enter date to end statements.

 

[Enter] for end of current G/L period.

 

[F2] fo current system date.

 

[F4] to exit to menu.

 

** START FROM WHAT DATE ? (ENTER='MM/DD/YY'):

 

Enter date to begin statements.

 

[Enter] for beginning of current G/L period.

 

[F2] for current system date.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** START AT/AFTER CLIENT (ENTER=FIRST):

 

Enter client code to begin statements.

 

[Enter] to begin at first client in system.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

[F5] to display list of client/matter codes for selection.

 

** END AFTER CLIENT (ENTER=LAST):

 

Enter client code to end statements.

 

[Enter] to end at last client in system.


[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

[F5] to display list of client/matter codes for selection.

 

** PRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE:

 

[Enter] to continue to print selection menu.

 

>> THERE ARE UN-UPDATED TRANSACTIONS FOR THE CURRENT MONTH. PRESS ENTER:

 

Alert message displayed when there are one or more transactions for the current month which have not yet been updated. You may still print, however, the transactions not updated will not appear on statements.

 

[Enter] to clear alert message and continue to print selection menu.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

[F4] to exit to menu.

"1" to change printers.

 

"2" to change the CPI and/or print density.

 

[Enter] to print.

 

[F4] to not print and exit to the menu.

 

[F5] to display a list of printers for selection.

 

After selecting printer and options the following prompt displays.

 

** PRESS 'T' TO PRINT TEST; 'C' TO COMMENCE PRINTING; F4 TO END:

 

"T" to send a one-page formatted test-print to specified printer.

 

Select this option if you are using pre-printed statement forms and you want to be sure that the printing will line properly on the form. After the test print you are returned to this prompt.

 

 

"C" to print statements.

 

[F4] to bypass printing and exit to menu.


After printing statements the following prompt displays.

 

** ARE STATEMENTS PRINTED OK? (Y/N):

 

"N" to indicate statements did not print properly.

 

You are returned to the initial program prompt.

 

 

"Y" to indicate statements printed properly.

 

The program exits automatically to menu.
