TB5-09 Detailed Lawyer Analysis

 

PURPOSE

 

The detailed lawyer analysis prints a report of billable time, non-billable time, billed fees and disbursements, payments received, and A/R bad debts and writeoffs by working lawyer, assigned lawyer, group or clients. You may specify month to date, year to date and/or project to date figures in either summary or detail format.  You may print a summary or detail report.

 

Detailed Lawyer Analysis is accessed from:

  • Time Billing Reports menu.

 

PROCEDURE

 

Select Detailed Lawyer Analysis from the Time Billing Reports menu. The following prompts display.

 

** ENTER THE REPORT CODE:

 

Enter report code of the custom report to use.

 

[F4] to exit to menu.

 

[F5] to display list of custom reports for selection.

 

(1) BY WORKING LAWYER
(2) BY ASSIGNED LAWYER
(3) BY GROUP CODE
(4) BY CLIENT CODE
** ENTER SELECTION (ENTER='1'):

 

[Enter] to accept displayed default.

 

"1" to select analysis by working lawyer.

 

** FOR LAWYER? (ENTER=ALL):

 

Enter lawyer/timekeeper code to report.

 

[Enter] to select all lawyers.

 

[F3] to return to selection criteria.

 

[F5] to display list of lawyer/timekeepers for selection.

 

"2" to select analysis by assigned lawyer.

 

** FOR LAWYER? (ENTER=ALL):

 

Enter lawyer/timekeeper code to report.

 

[Enter] to select all lawyers.

 

[F3] to return to selection criteria.

 

[F5] to display list of lawyer/timekeepers for selection.

 

"3" to select analysis by group code.

 

** ENTER GROUP CODE (ENTER=ALL):

 

Enter group code to report.

 

[Enter] to select all groups.

 

[F3] to return to selection criteria.

 

[F5] to display list of groups for selection.

 

"4" to select analysis by client.

 

** ENTER CLIENT CODE (ENTER=ALL):

 

Enter client code to report.

 

[Enter] to include all clients.

 

[F3] to return to selection criteria.

 

[F5] to display list of client/matters for selection.

 

[F4] to exit to menu.

 

** INCLUDE MONTH TO DATE TOTALS ? (Y/N):  Y

 

[Enter] to accept the default value "Y".

 

"Y" to include month to date totals.

 

"N" to not include month to date totals.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** INCLUDE YEAR TO DATE TOTALS ? (Y/N):  Y

 

[Enter] to accept the default value "Y".

 

"Y" to include year to date totals.

 

"N" to not include year to date totals.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** INCLUDE PROJECT TO DATE TOTALS ? (Y/N):  N

 

[Enter] to accept the default value "N".

 

"Y" to include project to date totals.

 

"N" to not include project to date totals.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** SUMMARY/DETAILED ? (S/D):

 

"S" to print summary data.

 

"D" to print detailed data.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** PAGE BREAK ? (Y/N) N

 

[Enter] to accept the default value "N".

 

"Y" to add a page breadk after each entry.

 

"N" to not add a page break after each entry.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** SUMMARIZE TAX TOTALS ? (Y/N): YES

 

This field defaults to the value defined during system setup. No entry is possible.

 

** INCLUDE FEES/DISBURSMENTS/BOTH (F/D/B):  B

 

[Enter] to accept the default value "B".

 

"F" to include Fees only.

 

"D"  to include Disbursements only.

 

"B" to include Both fees and disbursements.

 

[F3] to return to the field.

 

** NUMBER OF COPIES:

 

Enter number of copies to print.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

** PRESS ENTER TO CONTINUE:

 

[Enter] to continue to print selection menu.

 

[F3] to return to the previous field.

 

[F4] to exit to menu.
